Buildings and Facilities

St Mary’s Star of the Sea is fortunate to have high-quality learning facilities. We are always striving to maintain a first-rate facility of education in Milton. Our schools' learning technologies are constantly updated to ensure students are equipped with the growing need to use and understand technology in their ever-changing world.

Our younger classes are located alongside each other, with the Kinder classroom allocated an outdoor play area to assist in facilitating our play-based learning curriculum.

Our large modern hall is equipped with an updated sound system and Apple TV where we are able to host school assemblies, liturgies, Dance and Drama lessons, PE in wet weather, school play events, awards ceremonies, P&F functions and whole community events.

Our beautiful playground is located on top of a hill with spectacular views of our local area. Our oval has brand new rugby league and soccer goals and cricket nets which allows for several games to be played during the breaks. Our basketball court is set up for basketball, netball and tennis, and we have a covered concrete area where handball is popular.

We are a school that highly values outdoor learning experiences. To foster this, our senior students designed an outdoor nature play area for our infants which has recently come to life. It includes a sandpit, balancing logs, a climbing wall, a slide and a water play area. We have a jumping pillow and fitness equipment allowing for rotations and strength-building movement breaks.

At St Mary’s Star of the Sea, we foster the education of sustainability and environmental awareness and to support this our environmental group leads the way with our beautiful gardens, vegetable patch, worm farm and compost.

In addition, our school has:

  • Shared learning areas
  • Library
  • STEM room
  • Specialised Art/Music room
  • Canteen facilities
