Sacramental Programs

In Year 2 students receive special instruction and preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Based on the notion of a loving God, students are guided to develop an understanding that when we deliberately make a hurtful choice we sin and turn away from God. With the help of this beautiful sacrament, by the power that the Bishop has given to our priest we can be reunited in this loving relationship and be welcomed back into communion or unity with the church.

In year 3 students are prepared for the Sacrament of First Eucharist. The unpacking of the story of the First Passover and the story of the Last Supper, students are given a historical insight into the history of the development of the sacrament of Eucharist. In receiving this sacrament students are given the opportunity to fully participate in the most important prayer of the Church, the Mass.

In year 6 students will be prepared for the Sacrament of Confirmation. A part of the Sacraments of Initiation, at this time children are ‘sealed’ with the gift of the Holy Spirit as was first given to them in Baptism.
